CARE PER PRODUCT
- ◄Rugs
-
General:
Regular vacuuming (for hand tufted rugs no less than once per week) is essential to maintaining the condition of the rug, eliminating shed fibers, and deterring moths. If you have access to a suitable outdoor area you may first wish to bring outside and shake or beat thoroughly to remove loose dirt or debris.
Rugs left in direct sunlight will fade over time.
Cleaning your rug:
Vacuum first to remove any debris
Spills: lightly blot (never rub) with a damp cloth or paper towel. For heavy spills, spoon up excess liquid before blotting with a clean, dry towel.
Stains: spot clean with water and a mild detergent or a water/vinegar mixture - we also recommend Folex - then blot dry. Do not use too much water, or allow the rug to remain wet. But please be sure to test any cleaning agent on a small section of your rug first, as different soaps and cleaning products can react in different ways with the various yarn colors.
Smelly stains: treat as above, but add vinegar to your water/detergent mix.
Heavy cleaning: please consult with a professional rug cleaner.A Note to Pet Owners:
While this style rug is our most durable and easy to maintain, our one caveat is for pet owners - the loops may prove irresistible for scratching, and once pulled, cannot be mended (though they can be trimmed).
- ◄Waterproof
-
General:
We recommend washing it separately with a wool course then hanging to dry.
You can use it cleanly if you wipe it with a wet tissue or towel when you spill the liquid.
Avoid using fabric softener or bleach.
Frequent washing can reduce the waterproof effect.
- ◄Curtains
-
General:
We recommend dry cleaning or hand washing then hanging to dry.
- ◄Pillows
-
General:
We recommend spot cleaning or hand washing then hanging to dry.
- ◄Cutting board
-
General:
International taxes might be applied depending on your country's taxes policy.
Avoid using detergent as much as possible to prevent the mineral oil from falling out of the cutting board and wipe it with running water.
If disinfection is necessary, use vinegar.
Apply cutting board oil once a year to the cutting board and dry it in a well-ventilated place for two days, so you can use the cutting board for longer.
